Did Dollaway tap?

C.B. Dollaway defeated Mike Massenzio at UFC 92 by TKO, but was stunned on his feet and found himself in a guillotine choke early in the fight that some thought he tapped out to. The video is inconclusive and so was Dollaway when asked about the alleged tap.

"I don't really remember that part of the fight," said the Arizona Combat Sports trained fighter. "Apparently I got hit with a big shot. I remember taking him down and I kind of came to when I was in the guillotine. I just popped my head out. I don't remember tapping."

In the end, it doesn't really matter much. There wasn't enough of a tap for the referee to notice and stop the fight. Meanwhile, Dollaway was able to gain mount and drop down enough blows for the fight to be stopped, earning him the TKO win.

He clearly tapped with his right hand but the ref was on the left side and didn't see it. Those are the facts. Watch the video.

agreed

If the Ref didn't see it then it never happened!

He tapped, no question. Doesn't help that he came off as a flamer in the post interview with Rogan either.

I hate this f'n douchebag. It takes a man to admit defeat, and he doesn't have the balls to do so. Next time his opponent gets him in a submission, they should just go right through it and rip off his limb, then when Rogan asks what happened, just say, "What? He didn't tap". LOL.

that's why you don't let go til the ref tells you to

First off the rules state a tap is when you tap THREE solid times. From what I saw, he tapped once. I could be wrong but I dont think I am, as for the people calling CB a douche bag, a bitch, or faggot. You all are nothing but a bunch of key board warriors who if you met him would most likely kiss his ass and ask for a autograph.

I have gotten in that cage and fought and I have met CB before he was in the ufc and he is a nice guy.

He got hit hard and its completly possible he blacked out and didnt remember parts of the fight, Its happen to everyone from Franklin to Tim Sylvia.

Maybe he tapped... Maybe he didnt.

but your real tough talking behind a keyboard.

A couple of comments were deleted as the posting was getting a little out of control. It's okay to criticize, but let's try and keep it within reason.

Yeah what happened to my "critique" of CB??? It was deleted....

To sum it up, AGAIN..........

Cb is, well, just a little bit of a big, wet, flapping, douchebag.

He tapped, PLAIN AND SIMPLE. Where do people come up with these "so called" rules?????? I want the poster to show his PROOF of his ridiculis notion that a tap Is DEFINED as 3 times????? Ludicrous...

He clearly tapped, not just once but three times. However, it was a shy tapping... He got lucky the referee was positioned on the other side, and also because his opponent had him in half guard, which is not the ideal for a guillotine choke. I can't tell for sure if he did it for purpose (in order to make his opponent to slack off)or not, but he sure did tap.

Ah, I almost forgot... We are not keyboard warriors, just people making comments in a free access blog. For the girls with hurt feelings, all I can say is "Sorry if my comments affected your thin skin, as those are just my impressions. That being said, get a life and go train a bit more..."

Wow.......Some of these guys on these blogs are funny......That dude's right the rules say " 3 Times of a
clear, visible tap".. I watched the video 20 times on my DVR and the only thing I saw was his wrist flick once...That's not a tap ladies...And how can you possibly hate somebody you never even met before? Some of these remind me of women with nothing to do but sitaround all day talk sh!t.....

He did the same thing this fight as he did against Amir in TUF finale. Only difference is the ref saw that one.

Either way, the guy needs to apparently be told to stop doing it because clearly it's a bad habit that's cost him one match already (whether he meant to or not) and getting all sorts of negative feedback on another fight.

CB is garbage.

This is the second time this guy has tapped and acted like he didn't.

This would be the second time since fighting for the UFC that Dollaway "didn't tap," i do not like him as a fighter personally but the one guy had it right you go until the ref stops it.
