WEC Champ Ben Henderson A Sell Out?

The biblical figure Samson generated his strength by his long, flowing locks of hair, but World Extreme Cagefighting lightweight titleholder Ben Henderson isn't bound by such a curse.

Henderson tells MMAInisder Blog that he'd cut his hair for the right price.

"I like the hair. There isn't a problem with it," Henderson told MMAInsider Blog. "It's cool, but I'm not so attached to it that if the WEC offered me a bunch of money I would definitely sell out. It's just hair."

The hair isn't what makes Ben Henderons "smooth."

"If it came down to money or whatever, I would definitely sell out," said the WEC lightweight champion.

UFC U.K. Pres on April Abu Dhabi Event and New Arena

Yahoo! Sports Cagewriter blogger Steve Cofield recently did a great radio interview with UFC U.K. president Marshall Zelaznik, going in depth on the promotion's plans for an April 10 event in Abu Dhabi.

Zelaznik talked about the building of a brand new arena, specifically for UFC events in Abu Dhabi, and basically confirmed plans that the UFC and their new partners at Flash Entertainment -- a subsidiary of the Abu Dhabi government -- are still working to put on an April event there.

But they do have a back-up plan, as they always do.

"We keep a chart of all the venues we're holding around the world... so in the event as we are moving forward with an April event, if we can't do one venue, we can almost turn the switch and just go to another venue," said Zelaznik.

"So whether April happens in Abu Dhabi or another place, there will obviously be an April event."

Ben Saunders Receives BJJ Brown Belt

As he prepares for his UFC 113 fight in New Jersey, Ben Saunders received a new credential for his hard work in preparation for the upcoming bout.

The long time American Top Team disciple earned his brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu from head trainer, Ricardo Liborio, over the weekend.

Never a stranger to submissions, Saunders has actually been doing quite a good job lately of not needing his ground skills as he's picked up his last couple of wins by knockout.

Devastating in the clinch using knees, Saunders backs up his stand-up with his ever growing ground arsenal, which helped him earn the recognition from his trainer at American Top Team.

Saunders will next compete at UFC 113 against Martin Kampmann in a welterweight contest on the main card.

Herschel Walker: I Think MMA Should Be In The Olympics

At 47 years of age, many people question former NFL star Herschel Walker's sanity in deciding to compete in one of the roughest, most brutal sports around... mixed martial arts.

The former Olympian says his choice, among other reasons, has a lot to do with his love of the sport and wanting to see it advance to the level of respectability other sports enjoy.

"I want to show people that this is a great sport. I think it should be an Olympic sport," he declares, himself having competed as a bob sledder in the 1992 Olympics in Albertville, France.

"This sport is better than a lot of people are giving it credit."

Despite MMA's perceptions as a dangerous sport, Walker believes that the danger factor isn't what it seems, saying it is safer than other, more mainstream sports.

"I think people think this sport is brutal because of the blood, but I think it's safer than football or boxing right now. I think the blood make it look like it's a brutal sport, but it's not. I'd love to see it in the mainstream."

Herschel Walker is scheduled to make his MMA debut against Greg Nagy at the Jan. 30 Strikeforce: Miami event in Florida.
