The people attracted to UFC are attracted to Dana too. Its the whole persona of it. The underdog doing it his way and going to the top. I don't know about the super bowl comment but the ufc is gonna be huge regardless of the mainstream media.

dana white may cuss like a sailor, but he is an honorable man. He is an outgoing fight promoter, like Don King was, but without the selfish motives King brought to boxing. MMA is where it is today because of Dana.

-- I bet there are numerous potential sponsors just hoping Bud, Harley Davidson, etc. withdraw their deals with Zuffa over ANYTHING just so they was swoop in like vultures and take over the coveted canvas spaces and on air spots-- folks are still buying everything UFC related even though times are very tough financially for most.

Loretta Hunt's "article" was a joke. The ONLY on the record source she had (Ken Pavia) ended up denying he told her the garbage she claimed he did.
Over the course of 2 days there were 3 different claims of contact made (to reach the UFC for their side of the story):
"Sherdog.com sought comment from multiple UFC representatives and gave them more than three full days to respond. The company chose not to respond prior to the report’s publication and instead issued White’s video blog several hours afterward."

What makes his BS "story" an even bigger joke is that the VP of Event Operations, Donna Marcolini, went on record and stated Loretta NEVER tried to contact her and Loretta KNEW Donna is THE person she should have called. Donna said she would have absolutely spoken to Loretta, just as she has in the past, and even shared that Loretta has her office and cell phone numbers as well as her e-mail address-- none of which she bothered trying to use for this story.
There was no "policy" change with credentialing in an effort to separate managers/agents from their fighters. Zuffa went to a sticky wrist band method to identify those authorized to be backstage by the SAC's. Why? Because folks were swapping their lanyard/neck credentials with people in the arena (every fighter gets a minimum of 4 tickets provided FREE by Zuffa to give to whomever they want to come) so they could go backstage to visit w/the fighters throughout the night at EVERY event and if you aren't authorized to be back there you simply can't.
Going to the sticky band eliminated the possibility of that violation continuing because you cannot remove them w/o tearing them up. How on Earth that was deemed newsworthy is beyond comprehension and Loretta turning this into something else without bothering to get BOTH sides (as stated by Marcolini on the record) was irresponsible and ridiculous.
Loretta deserved exactly what she got and DW apologized to those he did NOT intend to disrespect, which he should have. He meant every single syllable he directed toward Loretta, which he clarified in a follow up interview when asked about it.
Since some media folks have extra time on their hands to address Loretta getting cussed out in a vlog perhaps they can ask her about the recent lawsuit filed against Sherdog and Crave Entertainment because she told an AZ attorney she (in writing several times as the Editor of Sherdog) would credit him for work he did on some articles but DIDN'T. Google Robert Maysey & Sherdog and read all about it.
Other organizations will thrive in the future using class and promotion of the sport as a sport. The only thing Dana has done is appeal to greed and arrogance to further the sports popularity and recognition (goals that would've been achieved anyway). I'd rather watch a Strikeforce, Affliction, or Dream, than a UFC now. Billing every card as the "biggest in UFC history" is ridiculous. Hey Dana, try fitting 96,000 people in a stadium, while Inoki and Helio(RIP) light an olympic torch and see if 500 beer drinking idiots aren't dead by the end of the event. No class, no honor. Pride forever. I hope Dana white gets throat cancer, beats it, but has to resort to sign language for the rest of his life.
