Former WWE Star Bobby Lashley Wants Title Shot... or Time
Bobby Lashley tells Showtime Sports he wants one of two things: build himself up and grow or get a title shot.

I think its dumb he's already talking bout a title shot but look at Lesnar. He made his debut beating a no name, lost to Mir, then beat Heath Herring and "earned" a title shot. I will say Herring is a tougher opponent than Wes Sims but at least you could say Bobby Lashley is undefeated. Anyway, Lashley needs to beat Brett Rogers and at least one more competitor such as Werdum to get a shot.
In any other organization I would seriously question Lashley asking for a title shot this early. However, in Strikeforce pretty much every fighter in the HW division is more qualified to have the belt than the current champion. Overeem hasn't defended the belt once since he got it in November of 2007. I don't give a shit who gets a shot as long as somebody is fighting for the damn title.
If you read into what Lashley is saying, he wants to build himself up and take 4-5 fights, but he is being PUSHED/PRESSURED into bigger fights and lets be honest how many big fights are there from the Strikeforce heavyweights that do not include Fedor or Rogers?
Give the guy a break, he wants to be a MMA fighter, does it really matter if he does Pro wrestling on the side or in his past? as long as he puts the training in and works his ass off!

Alright tell me, do you honestly think Lashley deserves a shot after beating Wes Sims? Really? Sims couldn't even make it past the first round in the Ultimate Fighter. And he was Lashley's biggest victory. If Fedor beats Brett Rogers and he still doesn't earn a title shot why the fuck would Lashley get one? Strikeforce CEO has already made the comment on how Rogers/Lashley will probably be their next fight. So if Fedor beats Werdum, then he would probably be the top runner, right? Lashley would have to fight another challenger to keep himself in the mix. I could be wrong, but I at least explained my reasoning. Tell me why I'm wrong, don't just say thats false, list some reasons or something. You seem to know everything, I'm interested in hearing what you think.
I have seen absolutely NOTHING, in regards to bobby lashley, that would make me think he is anything more than a joke......I don't see anything in any aspect of his game that makes me think he can make it as an MMA fighter. Brett Rogers will dominate Bobby Lashley. And he'll probably even knock him out in 2 or 3 mins. Strikefore is a second rate show, they will never be as good as the UFC. But they put on great entertaining fights, and i intend to watch as many as possible.

If i were a professional mma writer 1st i refuse to put fedor as my top heavyweight/pound for pound fighter, due mainly to the fact that the guy hasnt but just one legit fighter. Alistair Overeem is a freaking joke. he knows, no matter who it is he is fighting against in Strikeforce, he is going to lose that title. They should have already declared an interim champ due to his refusal to defend his title or he should have been stripped of it over a year ago. he's no champ. I'd take Lashley over him any day.
