Video: Wanderlei Silva Signs Contract for UFC 116
Wanderlei Silva's latest video blog featuring him talking about fighting Yoshihiro Akiyama at UFC 116 on July 3 in Las Vegas.

When I see this guy, I can think of a lot of things.
Wandy was a superstar in Japan. After beating Saku and Rampage twice he was probably the biggest LHW superstar, along with Liddell.
Then he gets arrogant. Hella arrogant. "I am Wandy. I kill everyone."
Until his arrogance goes through the roof and he agrees to fight Mirko Crocop, another japanese superstar. CC not only gave him the beating of his life but damaged his chin permanently.
He then gets knocked out by Hendo, signs to the UFC and gets knocked out my Rampage.
Now you know that he is in serious trouble. What does he do now? He trolls for, "I am happy to be here I fight for my fans. I suck Dana's balls and worship the UFC. Brock is the best. UFC is the best. I am so happy to be here."
He is a legend no doubt. But he needs to retire. Why would Dana force Liddell to retire but not Wandy? In my opinion Wandy's chin is more broken up than Chucks (which is also broken up).
Funny thing is, people still love this guy. They also love Randy. And Crocop. They now feed these three people that had no chance against them in their primes.

IF he losses to akiyama then yes I think retirement is needed.. no need to tarnish his image further.. but i think he will take this fight... And to other guy... get educated buddy this guy has had over 40 sanctioned fights.. ( who knows how many not sanctioned) many in brazil bare knuckle few rules.. and he fought before he was 18 even... yeahhes had a violent career and his body is starting to show it... but even still he can hang with top tier talent so just shut up .. comments like yours show how ignorant people can be... Im sure youd be the first to post how great he is if heever fought asilva and won (I dont thinkthis fight will happen) so just shut up
To the last blogger, you're totally right dude. Wandy is one of the classiest fighters out there, humble in defeat and gracious in victory. A true pioneer and a great ambassador for the sport. There is some complete fuckin' moron hater that routinely comes on this blog and starts shit, he has nothing relevant to say, he just insults people to get a rise out of them. Probably some young arrogant, self indulgent little piece of shit, who's only exposure to MMA came by way of TUF who spends his days sitting on Mommy and Daddys couch playing video games. Just another example of how far society has fallen ... assholes like that douchebag actually have a voice, when no one cares to listen to it. Some people just don't get it ... and never will.
