Joe Rogan is as sharp as the come on the microphone, whether it be in the comedy club or doing commentary for the UFC, but apparently he's also not the guy to mess with when it comes to training in the gym.
According to Conor Heun, one of Rogan's training partners at 10th Planet jiu-jitsu under famed trainer Eddie Bravo, the former "Fear Factor" host is a legit bad ass when it comes to mixed martial arts.
"He's phenomenal, he's absolutely amazing," Heun said recently on MMAWeekly Radio. "Up until very, very recently he was one of a very, very few people in the gym who I never caught."
"No disrespect, Joe, I love you to death, thank you for all the support, but I did catch him in a triangle recently, it was the first one ever and believe me it made my day."
Heun also commented that Rogan is a force the stand-up realm as well and could be a force if he ever decided to make his move into professional fighting.
"He comes for a traditional martial arts background, some sort of karate or tae kwon do, I'm not sure what it is exactly, but when you see him kicking the bag, the amount of power that guy generates is mind blowing," Heun commented. "His grappling is super technical and intense and he's strong as an ox."
"He's a bad man."
So if you're ever in the crowd for a Joe Rogan comedy show and he cracks on you a little bit, you may want to reconsider heckling him or you may just miss the rest of the show cause you've been knocked out!
