Finally all of this crap is over. Hopefully Dana White can buy Shields and Lawlors contracts from Scott Coker, seeing as how thats the only promoter dana is on good terms with. Anderson Silva needs a challenge and Lawlor would fit.

Hell No! Strikeforce in a prime spot to become a viable competitor to the UFC. This MMA monopoly needs to stop!

I am sure that Strikeforce is going to use this platform to become the best mma promotion they can be, and selling your best fighters to the UFC would make no sense. So ZuffaFan, good luck with that, I wouldn't hold my breath. Strikeforce has just made mma fighters and fans smile.

Im not too sure whos smilling? Lawler and Shields dont even want to go to strikeforce and its obvious why, especially shields who has absolutely no realistic competition outside of the ufc. this is obviously better than having the fighters froze up, but there would have been soooo many more opportunities for them with zuffa. lawler vs cung le is practically the only interesting macth for Lawler now (albiet not "that" interesting). Lawler vs Silva; vs. Marquardt; vs. Henderson; vs. Bisping; or even vs. Franklin would all be much much more high profile matches as well as much more highly regarded opponents for Lawler... and i doubt i even have to compare shields oppotunities... strikeforce has Never even had a welterweight belt to compete for. but whatever just my opinion, all in all tho, at least they'll get to compete.

Give Zuffa 6 months until they will try and buy it. By that time Affliction would of decided to get out of the fight business.
