Can Kimbo Be The Ultimate Fighter?

Kimbo Slice was sent reeling and EliteXC shuttered its doors after he was KO'd by Seth Petruzelli. Now, Kimbo will emerge with a shot at the UFC as one of the 16 heavyweight competitors on season 10 of The Ultimate Fighter: The Heavyweights.

Does Kimbo have what it takes to be The Ultimate Fighter and emerge in the UFC's heavyweight division or will he be shut down in a ratings bonanza on Spike TV?

The answer is no. If he even makes it to the semifinals it'd be a shocker. I have nothing against Kimbo and he's got some balls. But I don't think he's going to far in the UFC.

im gonna say MAYBE!!! all he really needs is to work on his ground game. if anyone is dumb enough to try to stand up with him they are done

^...dude, seth stood with him and KO'd him in like 30 seconds!?! If you watch his second to last fight he also got tapped standing but the ref decided not to see that, they could not let their Star get tapped, he had to KO the other guy just like Youtube. It will be amazing if he makes it thru TUF.

HAHAHA! I LOVE IT!

He'll probably make it to the quarters. There's gotta be someone he can beat, but Rampage/Rashad won't let him last too long. They'll sic one of their top guys on him and get him out of there.

Even if he fights in a finale prelim and wins, Dana will probably put him up against Velasquez to feed his ego. Think Vince McMahon after he bought WCW. All this is.

Ok, I understand people not thinking Kimbo is all that good but do you really think he hasn't heard all this before? All this talk about his ground game and his stamina. I'm sure the guy has been working on it since his last two losses. Besides, Rampage and Kimbo are/were represented by the same company and train with a lot of the same people so there probably isn't any beef there. Why wouldn't Dana want him in the UFC? That's money in his pocket especially if his game has improved all around.

all yall are stipid. half the guys on the tuf show arent that good kimbo might do pretty good. he got good stand up. most guy that come on the show dont have much more than that. so i think he is going to do good. but as far as him fighting brock? yall sound as worst as elitexc trying to get him in big fights. yall saying that he want make it long on the show. this dont mean he isin the ufc. he is trying out. give the man his credit and lay off him.

Kimbo has a shot, his knockout power is dangerous. I don't think the rest of his skills are up to par quite yet. Rex Richards will win season 10

When it comes to Kimbo the thing that most people forget about his backyard brawls and street fights is that the guys he fought were obviously street punks who thought they were "bad" but had no technical skills whatsoever. The same guys that are getting their asses handed to them on "Bully Beatdown". So the hype in the beginning as far as I'm concerned was not deserved. I personally think that Kimbo Slice's 15 minutes of fame is only the TUF season awayfrom being over.

Kimbo has a shot. The talent on TUF is questionable at times especially in the Heavyweight division. Wasn't the last fighter to win the HW TUF competition Rashad Evans?

Good move by the UFC to pump up their TUF show (which is pretty boring this year) and for Kimbo to prove he can fight.

Rex looks like he might be the winner but people are not going to watch rex they are watching kimbo, Tuf 9 sucks I have watched every one so far becasue I am a fan but the rating's are low now you add a guy like Kimbo and with the two coaches you are going to see some kind of fireworks. kimbo won't win the show but he will be the bigger winner in the end and Dana and kimbo are going to laugh there way to the bank

Before people start calling others stupid they should first learn how to spell stupid. Anywase, Kimbo has good hands and if he is able to stop kicks and takedowns then he might be alright. You know there is going to be at least one dude who is going to challenge Kimbo because of his name. I do feel that Kimbo will be one of the most focused in the house to prove a point. Regardless, even if he loses the show most of those guys are invited back.

Anywase?? You are stupid.

it doesnt matter kimbo slice will get murdered in the UFC no matter what because he only has boxing skills and if he did make it then he wood get taken to the ground and beaten. the answer is hands down NO!

First off Rex is not even on the show he blow out his knee they do have three other ex-football players on the show but Kimbo so have a good chance in getting to the semi but will lose via submission with a leg lock of some type but as long as he works his ass off and show no disrepect to the ufc kimbo will be a ufc fighter for a long time.

Wes Shivers is a big ass mean ole boy from Mississippi and I have trained with him many times. I believe he has a darn good chance of at least making it to the Semi's. Noone in our camp or affiliate camps can do anything with him! My bets are on Wes. Kimbo will fight for the UFC regardless of the outcome because the market is there. he has a hell of a fanbase!
