Dana White Fires Back at Rampage's Editing Complaints

LOS ANGELES -- UFC president Dana White doesn't buy Quinton "Rampage" Jackson's claims he was poorly edited on "TUF 10."

Posting on his personal blog last week, Jackson decried the show's portrayal of him and his team as they dealt with a disastrous showing in team competition.

"They edited the show to make me look like I didn't care about my team, but as you can clearly see I was coaching against a T.U.F. show champion and he came from the Ultimate Fighter so he knows how to play the camera and be fake," wrote Jackson.

Evans, the opposing coach on the show and TUF champion in question, has led his team to a complete shutout of Team Jackson, and has not been shy about gloating to "Rampage."

At a gathering of reporters following the press conference for UFC 104, White, in so many words, told Jackson to suck it up.

"When you don't look good on the show--editing, editing!" White said. "It is what it is. There's no way to edit. We don't dub him. We don't voice him over. People don't like the way they look sometimes on the show. I've been not crazy about the way I look on the show sometimes. It happens."

White and Jackson have hit the skids following Jackson's decision to portray B.A. Baracus on the upcoming movie remake of "The A-Team." Weeks after Jackson's announcement he would retire from fighting, the two are still on the outs, though White said he wished Jackson luck if he truly wanted to pursue acting.

However, when asked Thursday if he would meet with Jackson to smooth the situation over, White said, "if he wants to meet, he can come down here and meet with me. I'm not going to chase him."

Rampage would get crushed by Evans and he knows it. The guy can't coach, he's washed up. He needs to sack up and stop whining.

So much for your knowledge about MMA! How about it will be a tough fight for Both and the best guy will win that night. I'm sure you are some wannabe tough guy that feels the need to be heard but hides behind his cute little computer. Everyone can be a badass with an opinion from home !!

I still want to see a Rampage and Evans fight. It wouldn't be an easy fight for either of them...but I think Rampage would clean Evans clock.

I hope that Dana White and Rampage Jackson kiss and makeup in the near future so that the Rampage and Evans fight goes to the cage.

Whoever the first poster is - he's a retard. Rampage won his last two fights and had the UFC belt for a year (2007-2008) - not to mention he's 5-1 in the UFC. How is he washed up?

He's not a coach and he even admits it. Are you that much of a moron to miss that? Or perhaps you were too busy jerking off watching Rashad.

he had the belt for a year, but he only had one fight cause of tuf- then he lost it his next fight, so you are both rubbers.

evans isnt washed up-neither os rampage-i say this fight happens in june of 2010, and page takes it.

^ ?? That's what was said. He had the belt for a year. Nobody is saying he had it for any longer or had more than one winning title defense.

I think rampage is washed up too and he knows it. he ran from the lyoto fight so fast it wasn't funny. I've never liked rashad but rampage keeps looking like he's backing down from him at every encounter, he even looks a little scared of some of the contestants. Really, who has he beat lately? A washed up liddell, and even forrest kicked his ass. If he thinks he can act, he's even dumber than he acts on the show! Still like to see him fight rashad though, that would answer all the questions.

I wouldn't say Rampage is washed up as a fighter. It would be a good fight between him and Evans there's no doubt about that. I would say that Rampage is a dick head though. He's a rotten coach and should never have taken the job in the first place. He doesn't care about his fighters. He's selfish. To leave your fighters in the ring the way he's did is pathetic. To use the excuse that hes not a coach he's a fighter is crap. He's there to coach. And to whine about it after and blame editing? What a baby. Every week he proves himself to be half a man and a total prick.

Nicely said, Mark B. I wrote the post above yours. Rampage seems funny at first then keeps repeating the same thing over and over because that's all he's got. Even his own team and trainors don't laugh at his dumb jokes.
I liked the guy till he started ripping forrest for losing, when he fought griffin he had no defense for the kicks, no takedown defense, no plan for getting back up and no ground game. totally a one-trick pony, now he's making excuses again. Never liked Rashad because of the showboating but he's a really good guy, and really cares about ALL the fighters, telling them that he was one of them just a short time ago. I hope they fight and he ktfo's rampage, then good riddance to him.

lmao anderson silva isnt unbeatable lets not go crazy and if you realy watched the rampage vs forrest fight and think forrest won watch again it was a close fight but i wouldnt of gave it to forrest and im a forrest fan and rashad vs rampage would be a good fight but i think rampage would knock him out and when you hit like rampage all you have to be is a one trick pony what was chuck

To everyone talking S about Rampage, you know absolutely NOTHING about MMA. You are retarded and your mom should've went a head with the aboration. Please take your two sizes too small tapout shirt and go play tough somewhere else. Perhaps on a freeway as you are consuming oxygen and water that could be better used on non-retarded posers like yourselves.

I really hope Dana some how makes this happen both guys are great fighters and really hate each other. It would be a war and the FANS deserve to see it.

Last post: stupidest thing I've read on this site, and there's been some stupid shit.

Having said that, I probably don't disagree with your premise - Rampage is far from washed up.

As far as the coaching... perhaps Rampage is right about the editing. As far as I can tell from watching each week, all Team Rampage thinks about is the next prank or nickname or way to get under someone's skin. Meanwhile, Team Evans is in the gym, getting real training from Greg F'n Jackson. No wonder they're 6-0.

It's gotta be the editing. I just can't believe the guys would be satisfied on Quinton's team if this was really the case - wouldn't someone have spoken up by now?

i just don't think page's head is in the game anymore. thats not to say he's washed up physically but if your mind isn't in the game you'll get your ass handed to ya every time. i am a Page fan but i'm a reallist too, i think Evans would take him....and i don't like Evans. i think Page NEEDS a break to see where his bread is buttered, re-focus, and come back as the Rampage i love to watch fight.

Rampage is a monster, and Dana White knows it he will be back in the ring again

Rampage isn't washed up, he's still a fine fighter when focused. However he wasn't there for his fighters, and isn't a coach. He's never been a good coach, and Dana knows that.
