Anderson Silva Meets The Press, Feels The Heat After UFC 112

You have to understand his opponents are not worth his respect. They throw these people who have a snowballs chance in hell against him. He knew Forrest was worthy of his efforts so he showed his real skills against him. But people like Thales Lates and Damien Maia dont really diverse to be in there with him. He was proving a point my not finishing him and just walking around, he was telling the ufc to give him worthy opponents.

The only reason he KO'd Forrest is nothing to do with respect, its because Forrest is so stupid and keeps plodding forward, has zero standup skill or power and got baited into swinging at Silva, hence Silva was able to counter punch him into oblivion.
SILVA IS A COUNTER PUNCHER, If Silva's opponents dont plod forward swinging at him he hasn't got a clue what to do and will not push the action himself. That's why he was unable to finish Leites, Cote, Maia, they weren't daft enough to go in swinging.

I order every UFC but this will be the last one I watch that has Anderson Silva on it. But watching his press conference you say see Silva doesn't care about anyone's (or even consider anyone's) feelings on the subject. Point proven Anderson..show you infinite amount of respect or you'll dance around to boo's and win by a single point to the inferior fighter till the ref threatens to take a point away from running. He's a disgrace in my opinion and i'll never get another PPV that has Silva on the card.

I've never liked Silva even from his Pride days, but I can say this with an unbiased opinion....I honestly think if he "doesn't feel challenged" at MW, strip him of his title and move him permanently to LHW. He cuts way too much weight anyhow. Pair him with a "Bones" Jones, Rashad, Rampage and see what happens. Forrest doesn’t have the chin, power or hand speed to pose a real threat to someone who moves like Silva. Irvin wasn’t a real matchup either. Have him fight someone with a true gameplan and the skills to back it up...then you’ll find what Silva is really made of. To not put forth effort because you’re "bored" is no excuse. The MW is what it is. If it's not a challenge, move up and then see how "bored" you get.

Personally, for me, if I was as talented as Anderson and I felt disrespected by an opponent before the fight, I would go in there and end the fight within a minute to show that the guy wasn't even in my league. Personally, for me, if I was as talented as Anderson and I felt disrespected by an opponent before the fight, I would go in there and end the fight within a minute to show that the guy wasn't even in my league. I think embarassing him that way proves a much stronger point than acting like a fool for 25 minutes.
