One of the most popular MMA organizations in the world during its ten years of operation (1997-2007), Pride Fighting Championships, based in Japan, featured world class mixed martial arts artists in some of the most dramatic bouts in the early history of the sport. Spike TV will re-broadcast the best of these bouts in "The Best of Pride Fighting Championships," premiering tonight, Friday, January 15 at 10:00 PM ET/PT.
Hosted by Kenda Perez, the series features past and present UFC champions among the legendary MMA combatants that includes Chuck Liddell, Anderson Silva, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueria, Dan Henderson, Mirko Cro Cop, Wanderlei Silva, Josh Barnett, Mauricio "Shogun" Rua, Mark Coleman, Frank Trigg, Hidehiko Yoshida, Akihro Gono and Takanoro Gomi.

Pride was best. UFC is fixed.
Pride was best. UFC is the best now. In fact, UFC is more dominant than Pride ever was.
The heavy weight division is the only division in the UFC that does not have all the best fighters.

I think UFC sucks for a different reasons. Namely, they try to make way too much money by picking and choosing who they sign. They are not NBA or MLB in a sense that they sign the most talented fighters. Rather, they sign up and coming, pay them $50k per fight, and promote them.
If UFC was all about skills this is what they would have done.
HW:
kick out Justin McCully, Cheick Kongo, Mustafa Al-Turk, Antoni Hardonk, and other sub-par fighter.
Then sign, Barnett, Overeem, Werdum, Aleks, and Sergei.
LHW:
kick out Keith Jardine, Luiz Cain, and other weak fighers. Hire Mousasi and Arona.
MW:
Kick out fags like Chris Leben. Hire Paulo Filho.
LHW:
Kick out fags like Clay Guida and hire Aoki.
UFC fighters are the best.
Raw talents such as Paul Buentello, Clay Guida, and Chris Leben make UFC what it is today, which is top notch organization.
Just look at the fighting level of these guys. They are animals.
