Randy Couture Says Brock Lesnar Will Fight Again, Maybe This Spring
Former UFC heavyweight and light heavyweight champion Randy Couture recently told Inside MMA's Ron Kruck that he spoke with Brock Lesnar and fully expects the UFC heavyweight champion to return to fighting, possibly as soon as this spring.

Frank's just looking for a chance to get Brock when he's rusty and then to "prove his point". He's fought Brock when he wasn't experienced and barely won, he fought Brock when he was 60% health wise and got his ass handed to him and now he wants to even the score with a rusty Brock and then claim he's the better fighter.
You can like him as a fighter but Mir is the biggest douche in MMA, bar none. Mir wants that belt around his waist and was calling for Brock to be stripped within three months, but Frank was given over a year. History repeats itself, I hope and pray that Carwin ends any chance of a Lesnar/Mir 3, because Mir simply doesn't deserve to be anywhere near Brock again, but he'll try anything to consider himself better, even calling Carwin better then Brock...yeah whatever makes you feel better.
In what way was Brock only 60% last time they fought? Not saying you're wrong, I just don't remember anybody talking about him being injured before or after the fight. As for Mir not deserving to fight Lesnar again, I agree he hasn't earned another title shot yet. I don't think even beating Carwin would put him in #1 contender status yet, but if he did fight his way back to the top sometime down the line I wouldn't have a problem seeing him fight Lesnar again. Regardless of their past fights if he earns a title shot he should get it.
You think Frank Mir has the juice to get a title shot whenever he wants? He doesn't book the matches. When they offered a interim title match, you think he should have turned it down? That's silly.
People want to see heavyweight main events with known names. Main events for a title are even better. The UFC is just making it happen.

I simply expressed the opinion that one victory after getting TKO'd in his last title shot doesn't put him back in contention already. Why should he get to jump the line ahead of fighters like Junior dos Santos and Cain Velasquez to fight an interim title against Carwin, who should be getting the next shot at Brock anyway?
Mir is NOT overrated by any means. He should get the title shot if he beats carwin. He wrecked Kongo and Cain could not even end the fight with chiecky. Plus Mir smashed Nog as well. Carwin hits Brock its night night & Brock hasnt fought anyone his size & Carwin brings that problem along with KO power & submissions. Carwin = NOT... NOT a good match-up for Brock @ all!!!
MrAdidas clearly you are a retard. The fight you mentioned was brocks 3rd professional fight EVER in MMA and he beat a consistant continder in any organization who has carwin beat? Gabe Gonzaga? Randy whopped his ass for 5 straight rounds and we all saw what brock did to randy. I think it would be a good fight but i think brock would win. I would sure as hell say brock finished mir wouldnt you??
Well since you mention it, I don't think Brock deserved that first title shot either. I think he's proven himself to be a good fighter since then, but at the time I think he got the title shot because he was a big name.
Also, a minor correction to Richard: Randy didn't beat Gonzaga's ass for five rounds, he finished him the third.
Yes, Brock DID NOT deserve title shot. But there were a lot of politics behind that. Nog and Werdum (pride fighters) got completely Robbed. Everyone knew that Randy was a paper champ. It would of been so funny if Randy actually fought Fedor and died. Fedor vs Randy at this point would be the first death in MMA. I see Randy getting a brutal beat down. If Nog can drop him, imagine what Fedor can do to him.
UFC HW is in a turmoil right now and I think Brock is the right champ. He seems to be the strongest in the pack composed of Dos Santos, Cain, Shane, Nog, and Mir.

Even if Brock makes it back, he's not going to make it past either of them cause he can't take a hit.

After Nogueira defeats Cain Velasquez, he is the one who should be fighting Lesnar.
