Every time he turns around someone is asking Michael Bisping about getting a shot at the UFC middleweight title held by current king Anderson Silva. As he said after his win over Chris Leben at UFC 89, if he had a pound for every time someone asked, he wouldn't really need to be fighting."I'm happy with the way it's going," Bisping said at the UFC 89 post-fight press conference. "You've got to win your fights and that's what I'm doing. I just take it one step at a time. I don't want to get ahead of myself."

Good for Bisping. Honestly I think Bisping has a better shot at Anderson Silva than Patrick Cote, even though Bisping would lose badly. Hopefully they'll give him either Nate Marquardt or Yushin Okami down the road.
After the fight, Bisping said "it was his gameplan to out-point him and get the unanimous decision" WTF!!! Silva always goes for the finish...enough said.
NO ONE thinks they have a real shot at Anderson in that division---NO ONE. He's truly destined to become "The Greatest" in MMA history, mark my words. Bisping knows that his paydays will get smaller and smaller after he gets KTFO and is being smart about putting it off until later. Smart financial decision.
Bisping is a very average fighter,he is not even close to Silva skills, He won over Matt Hamil cause he is a poster boy for british mma(ufc),Just put him in front of Franklin or Henderson and you find out!!!Many less known fighters from Europe would kick his ass like Khalidow for sure.
He doesn't want a title shot, because he is fuckin' scared, but smart why get Ko'd when you still can make good money fighting at lower level.
Anderson Silva is the most overated fighter ever, he gets tapped by ryo chonan and daiju takase in pride, everyone ignores it. Hes a good fighter but so far from the best fighter its silly

The dude thats talking shit about ssilvas takase and chonan loses is a fuckin moron , everyone knows he was a world class striker then with no ground game, completely dominated the fights anyways and got caught at the end of both fights...then he hooked up with the nogs and got a black belt and has world class grappling to match his striking. since hookin up with the nogs, silva hasnt been submitted, not to mention silva, lil nog, and minotaro are the only 3 men to finish henderson(all by submission)....
