Nate Diaz Sidelined for 2008

Initially hoping to have a fight against Clay Guida in December, Gracie Fighter Nate Diaz looks to be sitting out the rest of this year.

According to GracieFighter.com, his manager's website, the planned showdown with Guida was never completed due to a foot injury that Guida sustained in his fight with Mac Danzing at UFC Fight Night 15 in Omaha, Neb.

With most of the other contending lightweights in the UFC already scheduled out for the remainder of the year, it's likely that Diaz won't have his next bout until Super Bowl weekend in Las Vegas, where Georges St. Pierre and B.J. Penn headline UFC 94.

Diaz most recently competed on the same card as Guida. He defeated Midwest fighter Josh Neer in the main event, scoring a tough split decision victory.

It would be fine by me to never watch Nate Diaz fight again! Diaz is a piece of trash who sqeeks by each fight...I cant wait until he gets his ass kicked by someone who respects him less than I do.

Squeaks by? He only has 2 decision in 12 fights. You don't have to like him, but be realistic he is a finisher.

The kid can fight and thats that!
Punk or not he is fun to watch.

class is not a prerequisite for being a winning MMA fighter. nick and nate are tough, bruising stylists, and if fans love to hate them, it just makes them more marketable. raising consciousness is not their job; getting their hands raised in victory is...

How does he squeek by, i never seen anyone pull off a legs only triangle on a top contender(kurt). Oh Josh Neer easilly beat joe stevenson who just fought for the title, so........not to mention joe barely beat kurt pelegrino to get his title shot. looks like a hard shell with a soft inside, exactly what ufc does with its "top guys" BJ IS SUPER OVERRATED not nate

BJ is overrated? That is some funny shit right there

Nate and Nick are both bad asses!!! I love to watch them both fight. They are not afraid of anyone and always put on a great fight! They are old-school and I get hyped watching them get down!

hahahahahahahaha....BJ is hardly overrated...I wonder whether or not you are talking about the same BJ Penn that I watch fight??? Also, the reason that Nate Diaz wins a lot of his fights is because people give him too much respect, when all you have is a punk who thinks he's a bad ass.
