i believe this is the guy that will truly test Anderson Silva..i am struggling to see how Marquardt will defeat him..however, I see Main being 2 or 3 steps ahead of submissions when fighting both Marquardt or Silva..if he can just work on his stand up..
As much as i'd love to see Maia do well, his standup has some serious flaws...
he knocked someone out not too long ago.cant remember the name.any way he is light years behind silva in striking
everyone on the planet is lightyears behind King Anderson standing. I am as excited for Nate vs Demian as any other fight in the next couple of months. I think the winner should fight Hendo to get a true #1 contender out of the mix. The only way to beat Spider is by submission, Lutter and Hendo proved ground and pound is only good enough to win a round. Lutter would have stopped alot of guys with his square up shots he hit Spider with. It only seemed to annoy Spider, not phase him. If Spider just stayed at 205 look at the great competition there would be at 185. We havent even been able to see a healthy Okami in the mix yet, and Wanderlei will always be a wildcard. This just speaks volumes to the greatness of Spider.Remember, Franklin would still be there to. Everything was so competitive and then along came a Spider. Spider by tko r2 over Forrest. Maia by sub rd2 over Nate.
