enough with this clown. He won't fight top guys. Who cares? He'll beat up cans and make big bucks. Might as well be a pro wrassler. Waste of talent and a waste of my time. Please stop giving him attention. it's bad for the sport.

cheeers!

Whatever you say, anonymous stranger. I'll go ahead and change my entire opinion based on unsupported judgment.

I hate it when people think the UFC is the sport of mma. Having an undefeated (technicaly) and exciting fighter fight for free on a major network will bring many new fans to the sport. Its good for the sport but bad for the ufc. That being said I do wish he had signed with the ufc, but this move will inevitably grow the sport.

Fedor may have been the man at one time, but those days have passed. He hasnt fought any one worth while in a long time. Arlovski was kind of a tough opponent, but 3 fights in 3 years or whatever it was disqualifies you as the baddest man on the plant. And the fact that he wont sign an exclusive contract with the UFC just shows he really has no vested interest in fighting the best in the buisiness. Fedor was great 8 years ago, but I think he is over hyped at this point, and I wouldnt expect the streak to last too much longer.

its hard to say that he isnt the baddest but seeing that he is like 31-1 its better then anyone else. we all would of loved to see him fight brock or some of the others in ufc and it could still one day happen. i just hope it doesnt happen when hes like randy couture's age and starting to lose his edge ya know?

Fedor would destroy Brock Lesnar. Lesnar has a whopping 4-1 record. Strikeforce's heavyweight division is just as good as the UFC's. Velasquez didn't look impressive at all against Kongo. Kongo has no ground game. Mir is overrated. Fedor already beat Nog twice. Carwin is a lesser version of Lesnar. Gonzaga was beat by Werdum. Dos Santos is a question mark. Couture was beat by Nog. People who think Brock is better than Fedor probably have never watched anything but the UFC.

Fedor is the best mma fighter in the World. The ufc is pissed strikeforce got Fedor. Gegard mousassi will beat Anderson Silva as well. Anerson Silva would own Fedor. So would Machida. Forget about Brock. He'd fit Fedor for some clown shoes and sell him to the circus.

Fedor = done.

Good one. Welcome to MMA. Your friend Brock introduce you? Cool.

Anderson and Machida would never fight Fedor because those two coming up to heavyweight would be fucking retarded. Fedor would beat Brock but it might be a tough fight for him. Since I actually consider myself knowledgable about the sport Im not gna be ignorant and say Fedor would beat the shit out of him. He would wait for Brock to fuck up and submit him. Fedor would most likely take some good shots but it would just be part of his gameplan to wait for the submission...and to Charles, Fedor would have been 23 eight years ago and not even to his prime yet u ignorant douchebag. I do agree he needs to fight the best but he's still the best.

I have been following MMA since the early 90s, and all this talk about FEDOR is CRAZY!!! His record is padded. Yeah he beat some former UFC champs, but they were FORMER UFC champs 4 a reason. BROCK would DESTROY FEDOR!! That simple. Its just nuts 2 think any other way!! Fedor is a comic book character, if he did sign that 5 fight deal with the UFC(where the competition IS), he would win maybe 2 of those fights.(maybe 3 if hes lucky). Fight somebody you bitch!!!!

I believe this is going to be like a preparation league.. i mean, most probably what they plan to do is to make him fight these guys, who are really good as well ( i mean UFC might have a larger pool of fighters at HW but it doesnt mean these guys are good enough to beat most of UFC fighters.. Werdum.. Roger Gracie, Brett.. those are top fighters anywhere .. I mean.. Roger vs Nog? Werdum vs Cain? Overeem vs Kongo? Brett vs Dos Santos? I mean those are even fights at their own styles and either fighter could win, and those are top fighters at UFC ) so what i think is that they want him to get used to teh cage here, where they are gonna let him go "slower" until he feels like its the time or he just wash out the whole division here too, THEN he can go to the UFC where they would have pit him right away against their best fighters in their element ( Wrestlers in a cage.. Carwin, Lesnar, Randy.. and well besides their style which suits the cage perfectly, they are already used to the cage as well!) just in order to make him look like a loser to everyone and destroy his name and legacy, dont you guys think? i believe thats the whole deal and that it is a good move, i mean.. he can fight this year what it is left of the next and have 2 or 3 fights aginst good fighters.. Brett.. Werdum, overeem and finally go to the UFC at his what? middle 32? it is all good! i dont think they want to fight him against Roger.. they want to make a name for Roger.. coz he might be the deal if he improves hims Stand up and why not? a better wrestler. :) its good to be on your back when you are a Legend of BJJ but its always better to be on top ;)

he needs to be slowly moved down the top ten heavyweights and p4p fighters list. you can't be the best in the world if you don't fight the best in the world. his reputation will only protect his staus for so long, if he dosn't face the best avaliable.

so if Fedor walks through Rogers, Werdum and Overeem in the next year does that still not qualify him as the No.1 Heavyweight?

Martín said...

I believe it does qualifies him as the number one, but for those who believe that the UFC is the only league in the world worth fighting for, i believe it is good enough for him to have already adjusted to the cage and its pros and cons, i mean we all knwo that in order for him to use his Sambo submisions he will have to get used to not having space once he is against the cage, in the other side.. man I imagine fedor with his gnp when having someone against the cage! gee! the only part i see against him, with a cage as a stage, is that he is not THAT GOOD of a wrestler, so with someone as big as Carwin or Lesnar, well they can take him down with a double or single leg and push him all the way to the cage just to GnP, he has to get used to that, .. any way i want to see fedor fight again!!! :D this is gonna be a good fight.. hopefully wont end in a first round KO ( by Brett's ) or a quick choke ( by Fedor ( likely to happen ) ) or Fedor Zuluing Brett ( which i see happening ) and instead be a good 2 or even 3 rounds fight
