UFC president Dana White said he almost got up and walked out of the Palms Casino's Pearl Theater before the main event of "The Ultimate Fighter" finale.
So angered was he at the snoozefest that was Kimbo Slice vs. Houston Alexander, he would have skipped the TUF 10 finals if he wasn't required to hand out the winner's trophy.
"Not a good night for me," said White.
Slice, he said, bore no responsibility for the outcome of the fight.
"The last thing I expected was for Houston Alexander to come in and do the Kalib Starnes," White said. "I don't even want to talk to Houston. Houston had an opportunity to...."
He grunted in disgust.
"Kimbo was dancing around the ring, asking him to engage, trying to make it a fight, and Houston didn't want to fight him."
White promised to cut Alexander from the UFC's ranks.
"If we didn't cut him yet, we're cutting him soon," he said.
Monte Cox, Alexander's manager, did not respond to text messages asking for Alexander's status with the UFC, but it's safe to say that fans won't see the father of six in the Octagon soon, or ever for that matter.

Im glad Houston "the douchbag" Alexander is gone! Hes failed to evolve as a MMA fighter. Not only that, but he tried being cheap to beat kimbo with those weak kicks and failed miserably exposing hes unevolved game. Civic Center Dr., Santa Ana California, room C-5, there will be yet another hearing. The defendants attorney hopes to be in a position to offer the court a plea, requesting a lighter sentence for Mr. Kirby. I, and my brothers attorney, Jason Baez, believe Kirby should have to stand trial before a jury of his peers, hearing the facts, before a sentence is decided. I am pleading with all MMA/UFC fighters, fans and friends to please send a "Victim Impact Statement" letting the court know, how much my brother meant to you and/or the MMA world. The UFC was ridiculous in trying to promote Kimbo this way. Kimbo was way bigger than Houston. What do expect when there's such a weight difference. Don't get me wrong, I wanted to see a slugfest like everybody else.

If you put on boring fights and win, Dana isn't going to be happy. If you put on boring fights and lose, Dana is gonna fire you. Look at Thales Leites and Tim Sylvia. Can't blame him. As strange as it sounds, I actually liked the fight. The whole first round was me screaming at the TV to fight. I haven't gotten that worked up over a fight in a long time. Two guys trying to stick to game plans that completely contradicted what everyone thought was going to happen. Then when they actually engaged and Kimbo slammed Houston, I lost my shit. Then to see Kimbo actually show some ground "skills"...it was just surreal. It had all the suspense of a Hitchcock movie and the payoff of a well-performed pro-wrestling match. What can I say, I like a little drama in my sports.
I for one did not think that they were going to stand there and swing until somebody went down. There was way too much on the line for both of them. Don't get me wrong, I didn't expect what we saw, I expected a ground fight. But either way, never ever thought they were just going to throw.
What i loved was seeing how kimbos evolving, hes not a showoff and knows that he has tons to learn, but he wants to learn and hes like a sponge trying to suck in as much knowledge as he can. Good for you kimbo! Houston the chump Alexander could learn a thing or 2 from you!

Dana shouldn't have put Kimbo in against a small light heavyweight with a below 500 record in the UFC. Houston didn't have a chance against Kimbo with the size difference. Dana should put Kimbo in against a heavyweight, watch Kimbo get destroyed, and that will be the end of the Slice era.

...Unfortunate thing. At UFC 71 Houston put on one of the worse ass-beatings in UFC history. Then he dropped Alessio with a nasty knee. He became an instant hit. Fact is, Houston didn't show up. Kimbo barely showed up. Black or white or brown, you better train technique and get some cardio. I dont know what Alexander was doing or who came up with that gameplan but he should fire his trainers. It was a horrendous fight and I do train everyday and expected better from both of them.
